City Transport

There are number of options to roam in the city or to reach to the particular tourist destination. For short distances auto-rickshaws and cycle-rickshaws, for long distances taxis and cabs. Economic mode for both short and long distance is city bus.

Another mode of transport in the city the auto-rickshaws and cycle rickshaws. They are preferred to cover the short distances in the city. Always insist to pay by meter reading than by any other calculation. If in any case meter is not available and in cycle rickshaws, alway fix the rate before getting in the rickshaw.

Cabs and taxis are also available in the city round the clock, they can be seen near to the major stations of the city. They charge more than others as obviously, but provide the good journey. Jaipur Bus and Jaipur Metro can also be good option for visitors to roam in the city.

The most common mode of transport in the city is the city buses, being the cheapest. They have no fixed timings, but run on regular intervals and not at night. These buses are run by government and private operators. They provide the reachability to maximum parts of the ctiy at a very nominal charge. Each have a dedicate route number, so make sure to check the right route number before boarding on the bus. Always take care of your belongings in the public transport.
